What to do next...

Follow the quick steps below to make the most of

your free SIM from Three.

1.
Check your phone is 3G.
 
 

Please note that our SIM cards will only work in 3G phones.

 

To check if yours is 3G, text ‘Mobile’ to 78333 (free).

2.
Unlock your phone.
 
 

You’ll need to do this if your phone is from another network. We can’t unlock it for you.

 

Many shops offer an unlocking service or you can contact your current network for an unlocking code (known as a DCK) and they’ll give you instructions. If you don’t know your network’s phone number click here.

3.
Insert your SIM.
 
 

You’ll find instructions for this in your phone user guide. You usually have to remove the back cover and battery to insert your SIM.

Your new number is on the card attached to your SIM as shown opposite:

4.
Top-up.
 
 

With a voucher – available in Three stores, supermarkets and anywhere you see the Top-up sign. A 16-digit number will be on your receipt (see below). Call 444 for free and enter this number.

With a credit/debit card - register your card at My3 then top up online (using your PC or phone).

 

It takes up to seven days to register your card and My3 is free to use. Once your card is registered, you can also top up by calling 444 for free.

You can top up at any Barclays cash machine if your card is issued by one of the following:

  • Barclays
  • HSBC
  • Nationwide
  • The Coventry
